THE BRAND
In the mid-1990s, Tom Ford met with international success, drawing inspiration from the aesthetics developed by Gianni Versace, and propelling, with Carine Roitfeld, porno-chic as an image of a fashion house: he was to transform the old Italian leather goods manufacturer Gucci into a premier luxury and sexy company. He then cumulates in the 2000s, the responsibility of the creation of ready-to-wear for the brand Yves Saint Laurent.
Carrying out functions much broader than “stylist”, his image and marketing work within Gucci was a source of inspiration in the following years for many fashion houses wishing to return to the front of the scene.
